The responsible party is the parasitic program, probably adware that has made a home in your computer. This adware works with trackid to record your Google searches to a remote database. This trackid and the adware associated with it could have been installed on your computer when you downloaded a free program. Sites like 01net, Softonic, Clubic, etc.
Use modifications to change their installation programs to accept these unwanted programs by default. Be sure to customize your installation and deselect any programs you do not want to avoid harmful software. The adware that caused the presence of trackid in your Google searches could also have been installed if you updated a fake software update, like Java or Flash, or a fake program (video player, codec packages) that circulate around streaming and download sites. Internet Explorer.
When i changed the managed address (which isn't supposed to be able to change) the trackid address would reinsert upon closing out of that window. Resetting chrome and every other browser was the only thing that got rid of it (for me). Also, if you jump to another browser it will try to follow upon the 2nd time you open it (or at least that is what happened to me) ironically I think this thing is prolly easier to get rid of if you don't have your account synced to chrome. Anthony Bui 7/12/2014, 11:05 น. I also had Google Chrome for a while and have it on all my devices. I only just installed it on my Macbook Pro a few short weeks ago and then it started 'tracking' my search phrases. Sometimes it also adds a question mark and not the trackid thingy.I have tried everything under the sun and it still happens.
Try uninstalling it and reinstalling it via the google homepage and not a third party company. Try adding Popup Blocker or some other security extensions from Chrome Web Store. You could also try scanning your PC for viruses and PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) which may find their way on to your system via Trusted Installers which don't even know about it. Another way is to just remove Google Chrome. DangerDog66 4/1/2015, 8:03 น. Got so darned tired of seeing 'trackid etc' and german words associated with my Google searches.
I read this forum and experimented with the advice and finally got a combination that worked for me. I went to Google settings and under search I selected Manage search engines. I went to the end of the URL for the Google search and started backing up until the box turned red.
I then added in the last character and the field turned back to white. It was now ' ' I then then replaced the 'de' with 'com' and selected done. It now looks like ' '. So far the correction appears to have held.
ALISTAIR COWAN 4/2/2015, 9:04 น. If u hav not cleard the track id. Here is how i did it today, a lil late mabe. GO TO CHROME SETTING,CLIK manage search engines.

Kinda lik the NSA,DOD,DIA, AND other gov snoopies. Aniello G 5/6/2015, 23:24 น. You have a virus. Changing the default search engine will not fix it, in fact, all it will do is hide an error in the virus which let you find it in the first place. By doing so, you are essentially helping the people who built the virus hide it from you again.I don't know if ANYONE has figured out exactly how to cure it yet, but I think maybe Avast is on it.
If Avast hasn't fixed it, check to see if it's updated. Adding the 'trackid=sp-006' has probably made the update fail. I am in contact with them now, and they are working a solution to the problem. Try downloading the update directly from thier web site. And FYI, currently the issue would appear to be caused by a programmer at Google themselves. They are aware of the issue, and just don't care. I don't think that is actually google at all. In my original post (marked as best answer) I mentioned that it will keep coming back after doin the search engine change. You have to unsync your account to get rid of it and then sync your account again and it should go away. It worked it's way into my computer with another program after i had downloaded something. If you don't change the sync it will keep re-appearing when your account syncs back up which is what makes this thing so damn annoying julian salguero 18/7/2015, 10:49 น.
A lot of people are seeing trackid=sp-006 pop up in their Google search box, here are the steps you need to get rid of this pesky tracker: Open Chrome. Go to Settings in the Chrome Menu. Under “Search” click on the “ Manage search engines” button. In the first box under “Default search settings” you will see Google there, it will be highlighted grey if it is your default search engine. Click on it so you can edit the URL.
Delete the URL that’s there and enter in this one:. Once updated click the Done button This should have fixed the problem and you shouldn’t see that tracker anymore!! If you’re still seeing the tracker try resetting your browser (your bookmarks and saved passwords will stay saved):. Go to the Chrome Menu and then Settings. Then in the search box in the top right of the Settings page type in 'Reset' and you'll see a button pop up that says Reset Settings, click on it and your browser should be reset. If you’re still STILL seeing this issue after doing the above steps please leave a comment with this info in it:. Do you run into the same issue when you're viewing it on a different browser?.
Have you tried and restarting the browser?. Have you tried using Chrome in the?. I would also check your extensions to see if there are any extensions that were downloaded/installed without your knowledge. Type chrome://extensions in the search bar. Have you tried? Thank you to Azrael777 and Letmethink aboutit for posting these solutions! Mady & grace show 21/9/2015, 15:13 น.
